The Material Controller is responsible for, but not limited to the following: 1. Liaise with Engineering, Project Management (PMT), Production Engineering, Material Take-off engineer, Fabrication, Warehousing and Quality Control on all material related matters. 2. Establishing supportable procedures and systems for identifying, tracking, and requisitioning all equipment and materials required for the project. 3. Defining and establish required interfaces with Engineering and Contractors supporting identification and requisitioning of equipment and material requirements 4. Together with the engineer ensure that material are ordered and issued according to the fabrication priorities 5. Assisting Procurement and Expediting with forecasting of requisition issue dates in order to forecast procurement and delivery cycles 6. Timely issuing of accurate and properly approved requisitions to Purchasing 7. Receiving all equipment and materials at the project site and ensuring care, custody, and control. 8. Where applicable, coordinate the resolution of Over, Short & Damage (OS&D) reports. 9. Issuing material and equipment to Contractors at the project site based on released Work Packages in an orderly and timely manner 10. Tracking and reporting bulk materials for quantities requisitioned, purchased, received, issued, and available against control quantities. 11. Tracking and reporting fabricated steel receipt and issue by piece mark 12. Tracking and reporting fabricated pipe receipt and issue by spool number 13. Tracking and reporting fabricated manufactured pipe supports and hangers for issue and receive by number 14. Assisting cost engineer on monthly basis with forecast of final quantities. 15. Minimizing shortages and excessive surplus 16. Assisting engineering with material availability and delivery problems. 17. Interfacing with procurement regarding material availability and delivery problems 18. Attending , as appropriate, meetings related to material issues (i.e. Contractor meetings regarding material issues, Project planning or schedule meetings, cost meetings, meetings required to support requisition, etc) 19. Besides the above-listed, shall be responsible for other duties assigned by department manager or the company.
